On Wednesday, Nvidia released its financial report. The company's sales for the second quarter was $46.7 billion, up 6% from the first quarter. The income was more than the predicted $46.06 billion.
Nvidia didn't say that it sold the very popular H20 processors to clients in China, but total sales growth stayed over 50%, which means that demand for AI infrastructure is still strong.
Nvidia expects to make $54 billion in revenue in the third quarter, give or take 2%. The forecast does not include shipments of the H20 chips to China. CNBC says that analysts think Nvidia's sales will be $53.1 billion.
Most Wall Street analysts think that demand for AI is still high, thanks to sustained sales of Nvidia products. The rally could be tapering off, however. Marvell's stock price dropped 13% on Friday morning. This was partly because some thought the AI surge was slowing down. This quarter, investors will carefully examine Nvidia's performance to get a sense of how the market feels about AI infrastructure and how much demand there is for it.
