🚨 Another Crypto-Linked Kidnapping Case in France
According to French media outlet Le Parisien, a shocking kidnapping case recently unfolded near Paris involving a former cryptocurrency trader named Alexander.
Late at night around 11 p.m., the chief of police in Saint-Germain-en-Laye received an unusual call from Algeria. The caller claimed they had received a disturbing photo from Alexander’s phone. The image showed him forced to his knees with his hands tied, while kidnappers demanded a ransom of €10,000 for his release.
🔍 Police Response
French investigators in Yvelines acted immediately, opening an emergency case and tracking the location of Alexander’s phone to Paris’ 10th arrondissement. At the same time, anti-crime brigades monitored his residence in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
By 4 a.m., officers spotted Alexander returning home with a swollen, bruised face. He was quickly taken to a police station for medical assistance. According to his statement, the kidnappers had strangled him until he lost consciousness while being held captive.
💰 Crypto-Related Crime on the Rise
This is not the first such case in France tied to the cryptocurrency world. Over recent months:
In January, Ledger co-founder David Balland and his partner were violently attacked, with Balland’s fingers burned before elite forces rescued him.
In May, the father of a crypto entrepreneur was abducted in broad daylight and had a finger severed before being freed.
That same month, criminals also attempted to kidnap the daughter of Paymium CEO Pierre Noizat.
French authorities have already arrested more than 20 suspects connected to these incidents, but the latest kidnapping shows that crypto-linked crime remains a serious concern in the country..","images":["https://d2kdcqywr8ua22.cloudfront.net/uploadfile/article/blog/2025082025/08/28/6c68661d89a34fdcbee466abaec201a9.jpg"],"tags":[],"tradingPairs":[],"quotearticleid":0}
