{"content":"🚨 Cryptojacking is back with at least 3,500 websites running a hidden Monero mining script.
A wave of stealthy browser-based crypto mining attacks is spreading across the web, reusing compromised sites from older attacks.
The malware is highly discreet, limiting resource usage to avoid triggering suspicion or security analysis.
Cryptojacking uses malware that doesn't steal passwords or lock files, but instead siphons off small amounts of processing power without user consent to mine cryptocurrency, in this case Monero.
This practice was widespread in 2017 with the rise of Coinhive, but had been largely forgotten since late 2019.","images":["https://d2kdcqywr8ua22.cloudfront.net/uploadfile/article/blog/2025072025/07/23/ce8564aa8e1749a5b02c865a50aa2d9c.jpg"],"tags":[],"tradingPairs":[],"quotearticleid":0}
